Maruti Suzuki Wagon R

Maruti Suzuki launched the AMT transmission on the WagonR and WagonR Stingray earlier this month, along with Option (O) versions that include safety features like ABS and dual front airbags. We got in touch with dealerships to give you a heads-up on how it has fared so far and learnt that the AMT versions have received a moderate response.

Maruti officials confirmed that the WagonR has got its own set of loyal customers as the car has been around for quite some time now. They added that these customers have come to expect the car with a manual gearbox and it will take some time for the awareness on the recently introduced AMT to build. There’s no waiting for the AMT versions as of now but dealers did mention that this could change when demand rises.
